King Falls AM Theory #1: The UFOs and General Abilene are fake

As much as I'm sure that this will be disproven the second I post this, here is my current theory about the UFOs, General Abilene, and the himenists.
For a while now, I've believed that the king falls government has fabricated both the UFOs and General Abilene. While the paranormal is not unheard of in King Falls, I'm not convinced about these particular two phenomena. Here's evidence to that effect:
(episode 6, 6:39) In his book, HFB3 says that General Abilene haunts Bombing Range Road, which is actually where lights are seen. Though Ben uses this slip up to show HFB3’s lack of expertise on the paranormal, I think there would be no reason for him to mix up the two unless they were already connected in his mind. This suggests to me that HFB3 has a hand in both Abilene and the UFOs, potentially because the town government has created them as covers for suspicious activity in the woods.
(episode 1, 4:30) When Sammy got lost in Sweetser Forest, he said he didn’t see any signs on the road. However, the accepted lore is that General Abilene changes the sign directions to confuse people. It is definitely suspicious that Sammy got lost even without the signs misdirecting him. Also, why would changing signs account for the time distortion experienced by victims of the General, anyway? This indicates to me that the General doesn’t really exist. More evidence to this point is that Ben said he learned about the General in school, but no one outside of King Falls knows about him. It seems to me that the town government itself is the most likely party to put false information into school curriculum.
The government didn’t join up with the Science Institute until the Institute was reported to have taken the UFO into their facility. This could be evidence that the UFO belonged to the town gov. in the first place, and they were forced to join with the Institute to cover their tracks now that the cat was out of the bag.
(episode 23, 7:45) Tim says “be well king falls, we’re here king falls” way before the himenists ever started using the phrase “be well.” Why would the himenists adopt a phrase from random aliens? It’s more likely that it was originally the himenists' phrase, and they implanted it into robo-Tim (assuming that he is their creation).
The bottom line: I think that the government is doing sketchy shit in the woods, and is making up stories of apparitions and UFOs to hide it.
My more extreme conclusion to the theory: the reason the gov. is doing things in the woods is to combat the shadows. The most recent episode (90), Grisham calls in to ask Sammy and Ben for help. This is after he has heard Debbie’s voice on the radio. Grisham acts as though he is completely caught up on the situation, as though he has been following the shadows' activity. I have reason to believe that Grisham is also concerned with the shadows, indicating that town government in King Falls is also on the look out for them. Potentially, the government is even fighting them. Additionally, what would be the purpose for creating a realistic robot-version of one of the town citizens? Since we know that the modus operandi of the shadows is to abduct, perhaps the government was creating a decoy to try to feed to them.
This has been my most-likely-incorrect theory on kfam. Please return to your regularly scheduled programming, and be well!
